This course is designed for whose who wish to pursue a career in millinery. Study couture hat making, in the heart of London, with Prudence, hat designer for Vivienne Westwood, Yves Saint Laurent and Gucci. Learn all of the skills needed to design and create your own handmade hats for men and women. Begin with basic millinery, learning how to block in straws and felts. In intermediate millinery, you will learn how to block in fabric. In our advanced millinery class, you will learn how to use feathers and fur. What distinguishes these workshops from others found in London is the amount of one-to-one tuition given by Prudence. Classes are taught in small groups, 1 to 3 students per class.Classes are taught in a relaxed atmosphere and you will work at your own pace.
No previous sewing skills required.
* Foreign students wishing to study with Prudence Millinery for 15 hours a week will be able to apply for a student visa.
